10. Buy property around the world
Market is slowed down. Many people are investing different fields. Realestate is one of them. Due to the flactuations in market, people are not much interested in share market. Therefore it’s really a good time to buy property overseas since prices in most of these markets are even cheaper than in some top Indian cities. The demand is more in Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and London. There are plenty of projects in Dubai which are selling at a price band of Rs 2,500-5,000 per sq.ft. Land in the UK countryside as in Cheshire is being sold for Rs 1,100 per sq.ft., while that in Helsby at just Rs 370 per sq.ft. By comparison, prices in some major Indian realty hotspots are equally competitive - flats in Gurgaon are priced at Rs 3,000-5,000 per sq.ft, in Kolkata’s Rajarhat at Rs 2,800-3,500 per sq.ft. and Navi Mumbai between Rs 1,800 and Rs 6,000 per sq.ft. In the US, home prices have reportedly fallen in nine out of ten cities. Brokers claim realty prices in cities like Fort Myers , Saginaw, Akron, San Francisco, Riverside and San Jose have dropped by more than 40%. What’s more, nearly 40-odd islands are up for sale in Australia at three year old prices - one can grab an island for A$ 1.3 million.

9. What after 12th ( IV ) Commerce ?
Next to science, commerce stream opens up a variety of options after 10 + 2 stage. These days after commerce is being opted by the students like hot cake. market slowdown is the major reason for this. many of my students are opting commerce. One thing more, commerce study does't require as much money as science subject. Some examples are: company secretary-ship, chartered accountancy, cost accountancy, business management, computer. Although chartered accountancy, cost accountancy or company secretary-ship course can be taken up after 10 + 2 (after successfully completing the Foundation Courses) you should be aware that each year only a small percentage of those who take the examinations get through. It may, therefore, be wise to obtain the basic BCom degree first. BCom with Computer as one of the combinations is now a much sought after course. In all the three streams, students can now opt for job-oriented vocational subjects at the first degree level available in selected colleges affiliated to many universities. Another recent development has been the diversification of courses, professional in nature, at the first-degree level itself, although the number is institutions offering such course is still small. International postgraduate programmes of five-year duration after 10 + 2 in several subjects are being introduced by some universities. Whatever stream you may select, you should put in your best efforts, which would surely lead to the path of success. Obtaining high marks in the qualifying examinations will put you in a comparatively better position to get into the course of choice after the 10 + 2 level.

8.What after 12th ( III ) Arts/Humanities?
Like Science, it is not widely appreciated that humanities also offer many options after 10 + 2 other than the usual BA degree course. Except for courses in science and technology areas, they can take up many other courses such as travel & tourism, advertising, journalism, performing arts, business management, etc. Humanities is also the favourite choice of many students who sit for the civil service examinations. Those with humanities background also have several opportunities to explore. The popular option is of pursuing BA and simultaneously preparing for the Civil Services Exams. If you think you need to go for a more professional degree than you are also eligible to apply for the BBA, BBS and the BBM course. Other than this several premier institute offer degree course in foreign languages. Foreign languages like Korean, Chinese and Spanish are in great demand these days and have bright prospects. After your graduation you can have the option of working as an interpreter or translator. Besides being highly paid these jobs, have great international opportunities too.
But if you think this is not very exciting for you than a lot can be done in the course of your higher studies.

6. What after 12th ( II ) Science?
Science is considered as the most important subject as compared to other like humanities or even commerce. There is a feeling in our society that the most talented students opt for science only. But actually it is not so.
If a student is interested in doing engineering courses, such as civil, mechanical, electronics, metallurgy, computers, the option should be for a combination of mathematics, physics and chemistry. If you wish to take up medicine, dentistry, agricultural science, dairy science or biological sciences, the combination should be biology, physics and chemistry. It is true that the advantage of choosing science stream is that you can shift to the other two streams viz., humanities and commerce after 10 + 2. It also opens up the gateway to a large number of career and course options, even if you cannot make it to the most coveted courses in engineering, medicine or agriculture. In several universities, particularly in the South, besides the usual combinations, such subjects as microbiology, computer science can be chosen at the B. Sc. level. Apart form doing the degree level courses in science with the conventional combination s you can also choose degree courses in several emerging professional areas, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, computer, business administration, hotel management, tourism management. You can also opt for courses outside the university stream, such as hotel management, fashion technology, industrial design, packaging, aircraft maintenance engineering, government accredited computer courses and a host of post 10 + 2 level vocational courses. However, if you are very clear that science is not your cup of tea, there is no point in wasting two precious years simply because it keeps many options open. It would rather be desirable to explore the opportunities the other fields offer.

5. What after 12th ( 2 )
As explained earlier, at 12th (10+2) level, students have three major options who want to study further instead of joining any service like defence or any other field. These three streams are as follows :-
1.The Science Stream i.e. Medical, Non-medical, Computer Science, Biotechnology etc.
2. The Arts or Humanities Stream
3. The commerce Stream
Which stream is to be opted by the students, depends upon the calibre, tendency, financial position etc etc factors of the students. Further interest is a major factor which take the students across the perticular stram.
In my next post, I will try to explain each of these three streams a little bit in details. i hereby request the readers/visitors, if they want to suggest or need any other information, he/she may suggest/ask for the same thru comments or using the chatbox, which is available on right side of this blog.
One thing I want to clear here is that if some one don't want to study further and want to go in service , then there are many other options for him/her. So freinds for further information stay in touch.

4. What After 12th ( I )
CBSE & ICSE 12th results have been declared. Students as well as parents are curious about their further planning. Career planning is one of the most crucial factors in our life, which needs no emphasis. It is important at least for two reasons. First, whether we opt for a career in jobs or prefer to be on our own, we must appreciate that there is fierce competition for getting a space in the world of work. Remember the old adage, "Survival of the fittest". Second, in view of new developments primarily triggered off by the information technology and globalization of the economy, there are now more options than ever before. We will have to look for these options. Remember also that these are days of specialization. When should you begin the career planning? The age is considered appropriate for making a start is the age of 14-15 years when you enter the Ninth Class under the 10 + 2 pattern of education. This is the formative age to shape your career. Much more important reason, however, is that it is after the 10 + 2 level that a wide variety of course options are available to choose from. This means that as the first step you will have to choose from the three streams i.e.., science, arts and humanities, and commerce and the appropriate combination of subjects, when you enter the 10+2 level. To a great extent, this choice would determine the course options available to you after the 10 + 2 level. For example, if you want to take up engineering degree course, you should not only join the science stream but should also opt for the combination comprising Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Before you enter the 10 + 2 stage, you may like to consider which syllabus provides wider options. As you are aware, there are three Secondary Boards i.e.., the CBSE and ICSE and the State Boards, each having its own syllabus. While the CBSE and ICSE syllabuses permit combining biology and mathematics, not all the State Boards provide similar opportunity. It limits your option, because at this stage itself you will have to decide whether you want to join the engineering college or medical and agricultural colleges. However, as the number of CBSE and ICSE affiliated schools in States is small, you may have to opt for the State Board syllabus.
Before you go on planning your career you may have to consider two issues:-
education, you may like to take up a suitable course through distance learning mode. There are now many options available. You can study according to your own pace and convenience. You can even study both the secondary and senior secondary courses through the distance-learning mode. As regards the second issue, the stark reality is that it is becoming increasingly difficult for many middle class families to meet the spiraling cost of professional education. Scholarships, freeships and other financial supports are scarce. You may be aware that in professional colleges there are two categories of seats "free seats" and "payment seats".Since the tuition fees for "free seats" are highly subsidised, you pay much less compared to those for "payment seats". Generally, "free seats" are allotted to students on the basis of the performance at the entrance tests. You will, therefore, have to strive very hard if you want to get a "free seat" in professional colleges. If your family is unable to bear the cost of "elite" professional courses, you may choose a professional course, which also promises a reasonably good career at an affordable cost. It is prudent to cut your coat according to the available cloth. However, the financial consideration alone need not determine this option. There are other good reasons too for seeking a career in these professions. This option should also be considered if you cannot get through entrance tests for professional courses.
three-year duration leading to diplomas in different branches of engineering and technology. The advantage of polytechnic courses is that in some branches a diploma holder can make a lateral entry into degree level engineering courses. A clear idea about the vocational courses, therefore, would be helpful in taking an appropriate decision.Posted by Mukesh at 7:09 AM 0 comments

3. Help your child
As the time comes closer, when the resul is to be declared, students as well
as their parents get tensed. As we observe, many students get depressed when they came to know that they have failed in exams. many of them even take very wrong steps. Some times veven students kill themselves as they are much depressed. So it is the sole responsiblity of their parents to help them and provide them with counselling.

2. Haryanavi Jatani Mallika charges a bomb for Salman's show
She’s getting paid to win money on a game show! That’s Mallika Sherawat for you, showing her dum. The bombshell is reportedly charging a bomb to appear on Salman Khan ’s television game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’. Since Salman is not using his influence to rope in celebs for this season of the show, the channel reportedly approached Mallika and she agreed on just one condition – she should get paid what she wants. And reports say she has demanded Rs. 50 lakh and the channel has agreed to shell it out. It can be recalled that last year too the Sony channel had approached Mallika to be a guest on the show, but she had turned down the offer because she did not share positive vibes with Salman then. But since then, the sexy siren has made up with Salman, and was even seen at Salman’s birthday party in December at his farmhouse in Panvel. Mallika will reportedly shoot for her episode of ‘Dus Ka Dum’ on May 24. However, there has been no official confirmation yet either by the channel or the actress.

1. Is early identification of dementia increasingly difficult?
If grandma seems to forget things, will she end up demented? These days, memory loss is one of the very few symptoms that may signal which 70-year-olds risk developing dementia. This is shown in a doctoral thesis at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Several of the tests previously used to predict which elderly individuals risk developing dementia do not seem to work any longer. The thesis shows that memory loss is the only factor that can still be used to indicate who is at risk, although not among the very old. The study compared nondemented 70-year-olds examined in the early 1970s with nondemented 70-year-olds examined in the year 2000. The results show that those who were examined in 2000 scored much higher on psychological tests than those examined 30 years earlier. This finding clearly indicates that such tests can no longer be used to predict future dementia. "In the early 1970s, several different tests could be used to predict people's risks of developing dementia, but today it seems like psychiatric evaluation of the memory is the only useful test. In addition, it is more difficult to predict dementia the higher the person's level of ducation," says physician PhD Simona Sacuiu, the author of the thesis. The follow-up of the 70-year-olds five years later showed that 5% had developed dementia. Those with memory problems showed an increased risk of developing dementia, although not everybody with poor memory developed dementia. Consequently, the link between forgetfulness and future dementia is more complex than commonly thought. Memory loss among elderly individuals may, but doesn't have to be, an early sign." In order to effectively detect dementia at an early stage, we need a useful tool that includes several types of tests, but the tests need continuous adjustments since the elderly of today perform much better at standardised psychological tests than previous generations," says PhD Sacuiu. Examinations of a group of nondemented 85-year-olds show that the link between memory problems and dementia is not as clear in this age group. The 85-year-olds' ability to find words, to copy a geometric figure and to take quick decisions were some qualities that were evaluated in a psychiatric assessment. More than 300 individuals participated in the study, of which 17% had developed dementia three years later. "We can't say that memory loss is the only meaningful sign of future dementia among 85-year-olds, since other symptoms, such as difficulties finding words or drawing a geometric figure, were needed for their risk of developing dementia to increase," says Sacuiu.
